BECK & KALTHEUNER – Kaltheuner family becomes sole owner
Plettenberg, 10.10.2024 - The company Beck & Kaltheuner Feuerfeste Erzeugnisse GmbH & Co. KG (BEKA), headquartered in Plettenberg, is now completely owned by the Kaltheuner family.
The company was founded in 1953 by Otto Beck (chemist) and Dr. Herbert Kaltheuner (businessman). Since then, the company has been owned 50 percent by each of the two families, each with two shareholders.
As it became apparent to the Beck family that there would be no successors within their own family, an internal takeover of the shares was agreed with the Kaltheuner family.
The sole shareholders Dr. Goetz Kaltheuner and Ralf Kaltheuner:
"We are delighted about the acquisition of the company's shares. We have always felt connected to Beck & Kaltheuner and its employees. Alongside the company Puehl GmbH & Co. KG, this is also a clear commitment to a medium-sized niche player and the Plettenberg location."
Beck & Kaltheuner is a leading manufacturer and internationally active partner in the field of customized refractory solutions for the following sectors: Blast furnace, furnace & plant construction, steelworks, foundries, coking plants, aluminum, cement production, as well as countless other applications.
In 2023, a turnover of 27.6 million euros was achieved, with a total of more than 100 employees working in Plettenberg and Duisburg.
The company has an experienced technology and engineering department, its own product development site, an assembly department, and a large machine park.
